  JAMES D. GOULD, M.D.

  Ear, Nose & Throat Specialist

  Dr. James Gould is the founder and medical director of Synergy ENT Specialists. Dr. Gould is a board-certified Otolaryngologist who completed his residency training at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis—the nation’s premiere Otolaryngology program. While at the University, Dr. Gould received special honors for his award winning research in basic science. Dr. Gould is also a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Otolaryngology at Washington University. Dr. Gould continues to bring the-most-cutting-edge, state-of-the-art technology to his patients, and he provides comprehensive Ear, Nose & Throat care to Adult and Pediatric patients of all ages. Dr. Gould also has a special interest in Allergy and Rhinology, and he is a Fellow of both the prestigious American Rhinologic Society and the American Academy of Otolaryngology Head & Neck Surgery. Dr. Gould is also a member of the American College ofSurgeons, the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy, and the AmericanMedical Association.

  JENNIFER TAYLOR, Au.D..

  Audiologist

  Dr. Jennifer Taylor joined Synergy ENT Specialists in the summer of 2012. Dr. Taylor has over 20 years of experience in the field of audiology. She graduated from Washington University with a masters degree then obtained her doctoral degree in audiology (Au.D.) from a program with A.T. Still University of Health Sciences. Dr. Taylor is licensed by the state of Missouri for audiology and hearing aids. She is also certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). Dr. Taylor’s experience has lead to her expertise in assessing hearing loss and fitting hearing aids. She is devoted to helping her patients of all ages hear to their best ability.

  CYNTHIA EMILY, PA-C

  Physician Assistant

  Physician Assistant Cynthia Emily joined Synergy ENT Specialists in July of 2013. Cynthia has over twelve years of vast experience in the medical field. As a Missouri native, Cynthia completed her Bachelor’s Degree from Missouri State University – Springfield, Missouri. She then went to A.T. Still University in Mesa Arizona where she received a Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies. She is a Fellow of the American Association of Physician Assistants and is dual licensed in Missouri and Illinois. She is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery. Cynthia serves as an extension of Drs. Gould and Schuman and is committed to offering advanced ear, nose and throat care.

  PAULA CARROW

  Practice Administrator

  Paula has been with Synergy ENT Specialists since August 2003. She brings over 20 years of medical office experience to her position. Since graduating from a medical assistant program in 1987, she has worked almost exclusively in surgical practices.

  KIM MEYER, B.S.W.

  Director of Marketing and Practice Development

  Kim Meyer graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work and minor degree in Psychology from the University of Missouri-St Louis. For five years post-graduation she worked in the non-profit arena and then transitioned into sales. For the next 10 years she was a pharmaceutical and diagnostic sales consultant. In August of 2012, she joined Synergy ENT Specialists to oversee both the internal and external marketing initiatives which include the website, billboards, print advertising, media and collaborations with referring physicians. In addition, Kim works with the leadership team to ensure cutting edge medical treatments are provided while maintaining the highest level of patient and referring physician satisfaction.

  MEGAN SNIDLE, R.N.

  Surgical Nurse Coordinator

  After graduating with an Associates Degree in Nursing from Jefferson College, Megan spent 8 years as an Operating Room Circulator. In that role she prepped patients for surgery and assisted Surgeons and Anesthesiologist during surgery. In August of 2012, she joined the Synergy ENT Specialists Team as the Surgical Nurse Coordinator. Megan’s main responsibilities include patient triage, surgery/procedure scheduling and assisting with in-office procedures, CT images and patient care.

  LINDA RUNZI

  Allergy Technician

  Linda joined the Synergy ENT Specialists in the spring of 2006. With over 15 years of experience in Otolaryngic Allergy, Linda directs the daily operations of our Allergy Center. As an expert in Otolaryngic Allergy, Linda personally performs all of our allergy skin testing and administers allergy injections for our growing pediatric and adult allergy patient population. Linda’s warm, friendly personality and her dedication to a successful outcome for every patient has been instrumental in the success of Synergy’s Allergy Program.

  MEGAN LEWIS

  Health Information Assistant

  Megan joined Synergy ENT Specialists in the Summer of 2007 after graduating from college with an Associates Degree in Health Information Technology. As Synergy’s Health Information Assistant, Megan has been instrumental in developing and implementing our new Electronic Medical Record (EMR). Megan supervises the daily functioning our information systems, analyzes the efficiency and the effectiveness of these systems and develops custom solutions to optimize the utilization of an EMR in a busy surgical practice.

  DAWN DAVIS

  Patient Care Coordinator

  In December of 2012, Dawn became a Synergy ENT Specialists team member. She brings with her several years of health care experience working at Twin City Surgery Center and an Orthopedic office. Dawn’s role at Synergy ENT Specialists spans from assisting with office billing, CT imaging, answering phone inquires, performing pre-certifications and authorizations to helping at the front reception area.
